I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Masters in Social Work from Widener University in 1997. I received my clinical training at the inpatient psych unit at Virtua Memorial Hospital, in Mount Holly, NJ. I worked as a social worker at the Tatem Brown Family Medical Practice in Voorhees, NJ, training family medical practice residents.
I have a Masters Degree in Psychology from Rowan University. I received counseling training by Aaron Beck, considered the Founder of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. www.beckinstitute.org. My couples therapy training was with John Gottman, named by the Psychotherapy Networker Magazine as one of the ten most influential therapists. www.gottman.com/about-us. My training in mediation was through the New Jersey Association for Professional Mediators. Finally, I received extensive training as a Parent Coordinator through the Cooperative Parenting Institute, PA.
I started my private practice in 2000 to help an individual reduce his/her symptoms and to help couples achieve healthier, more satisfying relationships. I have worked extensively with the court systems to address the impact of divorce on children and to improve the relationship of divorced parents.
My experience working with children as a special education teacher, educational consultant and school psychologist, has helped me counsel children struggling with their parents' divorce and provide parenting education to their parents.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, going to the movies, sitting on the beach, going to the Seaside Heights boardwalk and getting together with family and friends.
